Celebrating Donna Dooher

I was wide awake during my brain surgery for Parkinson's. Here's how it changed my life. Harry Forestell

Donna Dooher is the brunch specialist and owner of Mildred’s Temple Kitchen.

Chef Donna Dooher is a longtime supporter of Porridge for Parkinson’s.

Donna has been a prominent part of Toronto’s restaurant scene since opening the much-loved Mildred Pierce Restaurant in 1989—and a Porridge for Parkinson’s brunch partner since 2011. Her iconic Mildred’s Temple Kitchen in Liberty Village is a showcase for her passion for locally sourced, seasonal ingredients—simply and sumptuously prepared. The popular restaurant is well known for delicious brunch menus, including Donna’s signature pancakes, biscuits, and scones. During the pandemic, Mildred’s also began offering a pantry product line, which is now a successful addition to the business.

Donna has written several cookbooks, including her award-winning Out to Brunch. She is actively involved in Canada’s hospitality community and dedicated to supporting Ontario farmers and local agriculture. We can’t wait for Donna’s must-have brunch offering this year.

Donna Dooher and Joanne Yolles prepare a dish that will be served at Porridge for Parkinson’s on CP24’s morning show on Thursday, November 9, at 7:45 a.m.
